  • Silat Fitrah

Silat Fitrah is the name given to the art developed by Guru Tua Chris Parker by his teacher, Bapak Guru Hj Idris bin Alimuda. Chris began training in Pencak Silat under Bapak Idris in 1976 and their relationship continues to the present day.

Essentially an art of self discovery and development, that explores how martial principles can be used to enhance all aspects of our lives. The physical aspect of the art comprises a simple syllabus based on a number of essential principles that enables students to develop their own natural movement patterns and responses. Through this, students develop the ability to fight at all ranges using powerful strikes, takedowns, locks, throws and a variety of weapons. Eddie Quinn is currently the only person Chris Parker has promoted to the level of Guru in Silat Fitrah.

  • The Approach

What is THE APPROACH? Is it a new system? What it is, is a distillation of Pencak Silat Fitrah, with influences of Thai, Filipino and Indonesian martial arts all of which I have practiced over the years, what it provides is a very practical, easy to learn and efficient way of defending oneself and your loved ones.

Remember an APPROACH with a structure is different to a style with a syllabus.
